Abercrombie and Fitch, DOING the OPPOSITE

Abercrombie and Fitch is the only company that wants its advertisement differently. It wants 'Situation' out of its clothes!!

The dog and The bicycle

In this 21st century, everything is being upgraded. Above, is a dog riding a bicycle. Now, bicycle is not only ride by human, but also animals too! LOL

Armin Blashbichler's Home

Interesting structure, isn't it? It's actually Armin Blashbichler's home in Northern Italy. For those who don't know who he is, he is an architect who dreamt of building a log house since he was a child. Inside is as unique as the outside, too. He uses logs in the rooms of his house as a design element.

He also has doors on the ceiling! I wonder if they actually open...

Princess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!♥

OMG, Taylor Swift is so pretty, she is so tall and pretty as a princess. I love her so much. She looks like an angel ♥. She released new album last year and her songs are good. I like to listen her songs also. Hope she will release a new album soon.

Over The Weekend: Saturday, August 6, 2011

Saturday morning I made a trip from New York to Pennsylvania. Waking up at 6 AM, I became a grumpy old hag and nothing was going right for me at all. There was absolutely nothing to eat for breakfast, my friends were taking their sweet time getting ready, and I, unknowingly, was voted as the designated driver.
While on my way to the Holland Tunnel, there was traffic, nothing new, but as I inched closer and closer, there was a traffic police signaling the drivers to make a right turn because the whole South Houston street was blocked off until 2PM due to a biking event. Now I'm all for bikers and I enjoy biking myself, but why did they have to block a route that thousands of people use on a daily basis, a route that brings you to the Holland Tunnel nonetheless. The other thing that bothered me was the fact that there weren't signs telling me of the road blockage or which route to take as a alternative! I just decided to  followed the other cars though, slowly of course, because of the traffic.

When I reached the end of the tunnel, I went to a gas station fill up and suddenly, my day was made. I love Elvis Duran and morning show, it's funny, entertaining, and amusing.
In this segment, everyone was trying to see who sung "Rolling In The Deep" from Adele better:

(You can click on the arrows on the side of the video screen or wait until the video is over to listen to the next person)

I laughed so hard, I cried. That really made my day turn right around.
Really, it's worth a listen!

The Importance of Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It's not healthy if you don't eat breakfast. Eating breakfast is always a benefit to you.
First, it can help you can lose weight. Since you eat breakfast in the morning, it helps you reduce your hunger so you won't overeat before lunch time.
Second, eating breakfast gives you more energy and increases your physical activity during the day. Your body absorbs nutrients after you eat breakfast. Skipping breakfast is always harmful to you. If you don't eat breakfast in the morning, you will just be hungrier later, and you can start to eat so much that it can make you gain weight.
If you don't eat breakfast in the morning, then you won't have energy to work in the morning, since you don't eat anything while you’re sleeping. Especially for students, if they eat breakfast in the morning, they become smarter and work faster.

I never get tired of watching those videos too.

It's truly amazing how the armed forces protect us day in and day out. It's also amazing to witness this heart warming reunion.

The Three Stooges: “We Want Our Mummy!”

I’m such a sucker for classic entertainment. I spent all of last weekend with The Three Stooges to keep me company. Those guys are hilarious. Anyone remember the episode where they are tasked to find a stolen mummy in a dusty tomb? That’s my favorite one. All I could think about was, wow, there must have been a lot of asbestos down there! I mean, the Ancient Egyptians were one of the earliest civilizations to use asbestos, especially in the mummification process. Crazy!

Dogfight--a USMC movie that is neither sappy nor didactic

Dogfight was on cable this weekend, and I forgot how much I love this movie, despite the crudity and cruelty in it. Lili Taylor and River Phoesnix are so young and sweet as Rose and Birdlegs. Was I ever that young? And the guy who plays Birdlegs' buddy, one of the four B's, he was really good too. (Not to mention handsome. Good God almighty.)

The Marine

I just watched the movie over again. The Marine is starred by John Cena, and he did a fantastic job in it.

The Marine basically talks about a returned marine tried to save his wife, who is kidnapped by a murderous gang. As it says in the description of the movie, "With everything on the line, the Marine will stop at nothing to cary out his toughest and most important mission."

Marines are always the most respectable people in my life!
God bless Marines!

Shoulder Pains

Shoulder pains are widespread in our country, especially those who keep looking at a computer.
If you are a student, you might get shoulder pains because you keep playing video games;
if you are a teen, you might get shoulder pains due to keep watching dramas on computer;
if you are a office lady, you might get shoulder pains since you need to keep working with your computer.

Pains are not curable, and you are the only one knows how painful it is.
Although they are not curable, shoulder pains are also unavoidable.

I just hate to have shoulder pains!!

Rope Skipping

It feels like rope skipping is still not a popular sport in U.S.A, however I really look forward to join a rope skipping contest like this in future!

It's just amazing that how they interact with the rope, such as playing basketball when they are skipping the ropes!

However, we should understand that the dangerous are hidden behind all of their difficult tasks. What if they fail when they are trying to jump and turn around? They might face serious injuries!

Anyway, appreciate that they did good jobs and look forward to enjoy a show like that alive!

Apple?

I have to admit that Apple becomes a culture in U.S.A.
Especially for the new generations, Apple basically means hip, means technology, even means everything.

I read from newspaper that Apple is going to apply a new concept as "iCloud"... I dont know what is the iCloud about, but I am sure that it will be another "hip thing", another trendy culture soon.

But, do we really need a lots "Apples" around?
What does the brand of Apple really mean to people?

Awww !!

Awww... Look at this little cute baby!
Sometime I thought of when I have a child, how could I direct him/her?
And how would I protect my little baby from harms and hinders?
Especially at the age like now, every food is claimed to be "harmful", "not health", even "lead to cancer"...
I am worried about our next generation, how could they be safe in the new world?

Back Injuries

Hi people who follow the corner, I have more stories to tell. Recently I tripped and fell at work and seriously hurt my back. I had to stay home for several weeks and lost out on a lot of money. Did you know that you can pursue compensation if you suffered an injury at work?

Pesticides in Produce

I was outraged when I found out that children can develop ADHD because they unknowingly consume pesticides. These chemicals are often present in fruits and vegetables and when they are consumed, they can impede brain function..

Hydroxycut Rip off

Hi Guys, i will admit that i am getting a little chubby so to get rid of those few pounds i tried a weight loss supplement. The product i tried was Hydroxycut, at first i thought it was a great product until i found out all the risks that come with it after the FDA put a warning label on it. This terrible excuse for a product causes:

  • Liver Injury
  • Seizures
  • Cardiovascular disorders
  • Rhabdomyolysis
  • Jaundice
  • Kidney failure
Highly recommended that you skip this product.

Spare Some Change

Next time you see a sign that reads, "I am homeless, please spare some change," consider reaching into your pocket and leaving some change into that person's torn cup. Why? Statistics show that there is a one in three probability that this person is a veteran.

They loiter in the streets not only because of the government's poor decisions in the distribution of our tax money, but also because many of them may be mentally ill. Many veterans develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from what they witnessed during the war. Aside from psychological injuries, veterans may develop sicknesses from exposure to dangerous chemicals such as asbestos.

So when you see a homeless man, consider sparing him some change, whether or not he served in our armed forces. Many veterans have already sacrificed their lives for our country's wellbeing, yet they are not given the proper treatment they deserve. Although your change may not alter their lives, it is a temporary solution.

New Mortar for Marines!

I just saw a picture online and the footnote of it is saying that Marines are testing a new mortar system, and the new one is 9lbs lighter than the mortar in WWII.

Keep thinking about how the life of marines would be.. Sometimes I feel like to be a marine in future, the thing  is just I am not tough enough to be one.

Anyway, God bless Marines - the most intrepid people in the world!!
